Keep the two apart: compensation is paid by the airline under the law and may not come at all. Insurance payouts are paid under the membership terms.

Conditions that are easy to miss
- Claims are handled fee-free if filed during the membership and within 60 days of the flight. For disruptions during the membership there are 14 extra days after it ends.
- For insurance payouts, lounges and Fast Track, the trip must be added at least 48 hours before the first flight departs. Add it at the airport and these benefits will not apply.
- The annual plan renews automatically. Cancel at least a day before renewal.
- Outside EU261 and UK261 AirHelp decides case by case whether to take a claim; membership does not change that.
Who it is not for
AirHelp+ insurance payouts do not cover any flights to or from Russia, nor Belarus, Ukraine, Iran, Cuba and several other countries. The exclusion applies to the extra protection, not to the compensation service.
- If you mostly fly Moscow-Yerevan and back, the insurance part gives you nothing, and there is no EU261 compensation on those flights.
- If you fly to Phuket: AirHelp does not currently handle Thai claims, and membership does not change that.
- It suits people who regularly fly via the EU: Yerevan to Vienna on Austrian, Europe to Georgia, Europe to Asia on a single booking.
Plans and prices
Plan names and prices differ between AirHelp pages: the international page splits plans by number of trips, while the price list names Lite, Smart and Pro. To avoid misleading you we do not quote prices; check the current ones on AirHelp before paying. Our promo code applies to Smart and Pro.
