Renting an apartment in Yerevan: what to know
Long-term rentals in Yerevan usually come with a 6–12 month contract. On move-in you typically pay the first month and a deposit. Utilities (electricity, gas, water, internet) are usually paid by the tenant separately, by meter.
A passport is enough to rent. No residence permit is needed. Before signing we check that the apartment is rented out by the owner or a person with power of attorney, and that the contract states the deposit, the term and how to move out.
Buying an apartment in Yerevan
Foreigners buy apartments and houses in Armenia on the same terms as citizens. The only restriction is agricultural land. The deal is certified by a notary and ownership is registered by the Cadastre.
Before any deposit we check the documents: ownership certificate, no arrests or encumbrances, no utility debts. We search both resale apartments and new buildings.
