What a single network means
As of 22.10.2026 the Yesim page for Portugal names just one operator: NOS, with 5G. Lisbon, Porto and Braga are among the coverage cities it lists.
- Upside: no guessing which network your phone will land on, and 5G is on the page.
- Downside: there is no backup network. Where NOS is weak, this eSIM cannot switch to another operator.
- Tethering to a laptop is not a given: the operator sets that rule, not Yesim.

Match the plan to your stay
One week
5 GB for $11.52 covers maps, taxis and messaging. Seven days of unlimited cost $29.40, about two and a half times more, and only pay off if you stream a lot or work from your phone.
Two weeks
10 GB for $19.20 or 20 GB for $26.40. Fifteen days of unlimited cost $46.80, which is $20.40 above the 20 GB plan.
A month
30 GB for $33.60 against $68.40 for 30 days of unlimited. The $34.80 gap is nearly the price of a second 30 GB plan.
Data plans run for 30 days from the first network connection, so 5 GB bought for a week will not vanish on day eight.
How Portugal compares with Armenia
The 1, 5, 10, 20 and 30 GB plans cost the same as in Armenia, to the cent. The one gap is 3 GB, which Armenia sells for $7.80: in Portugal you jump straight from 1 GB at $3 to 5 GB at $11.52.
Heading on to other countries? Portugal is part of the Yesim Europe & UK regional plan covering 33 countries, worth comparing before you buy.
