No regional plan: what it means
For the Philippines or Cambodia, Yesim names a multi-country plan right on the country page. Not for Laos, so on a route with neighbours you have two options:
- A separate Laos eSIM plus one for the other country. Yesim takes 10% off when you buy two or more eSIMs, which softens the second purchase.
- Global Package, the option the Laos page points to. The global plans page shows no fixed bundles for it, only a price from $3.16 a day and 82+ countries. Check the exact price for your dates in the calculator before paying.
Going to Laos alone keeps it simple: take the country plan.

Network and coverage
The page lists one carrier, ETL, on LTE, with no 5G. Coverage cities include Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Pakse and Savannakhet. With no second network, outside towns you depend on ETL alone.
It is a data-only plan: no number, calls or SMS. You can buy early, as activation is allowed for 180 days, and validity counts from the first connection.
